This past weekend was filled with ties, particularly on Saturday night. Each respective weekend series featured at least one tied game, with Niagara and Canisius tying both nights!

Air Force and Mercyhurst played to a 3-3 tie on Friday night. Joshua Lammon, Matthew Whittaker and Joseph Duszak had the goals for the Lakers, while Brady Tomlak, Marshall Bowery and Jake Levin scored for the Falcons. Tomlak would open the scoring in the Falcons’ 4-2 win on Saturday; Matt Koch and Walker Sommer added goals on the power play to top it off. Evan Feno also scored with just six seconds left on the clock to seal the win. Taylor Best and Tommaso Bucci had the goals for Mercyhurst.

Sacred Heart crushed Army 5-0 on Friday, powered by a pair of goals from Stephen Hladin. Todd Goehring, Nick Boyagian and Jason Cotton also scored. Brett Magnus had 25 saves in the shutout. Saturday’s rematch was much more balanced, with teams skating to a 3-3 tie. Army’s Mason Krueger and Tipper Higgins made it 2-0, but Jordan Kaplan cut the lead in half midway through the game. After Eric Butte regained Army’s two-goal lead, Colin Bernard and Marc Johnstone scored less than five minutes apart late in the third to tie it up.

Holy Cross topped Bentley 5-3 on Friday before tying them 1-1 Saturday. Kevin Darrar and Luke Santerno each had a pair of goals Friday for their respective teams. Mitch Collett, Logan Ferguson and Anthony Vincent also scored for the Crusaders, while the Falcons’ other tally came from Jake Kauppila. Jack Surowiec and Michael Zuffante had the goals in Saturday’s tie, while Darrar added his third point of the weekend with an assist.

The RIT Tigers beat Robert Morris 5-3 on Friday before – yes, you guessed it: tying them on Saturday, 2-2. Erik Brown scored twice, including the game-winning goal; Brody Valette, Kobe Walker (named Rookie of the Week) and Abbott Girduckis also tallied for the Tigers. Michael Louria, Justin Addamo and Alex Tonge scored for the Colonials. Brown had another goal in Saturday’s tie and was named Player of the Week; as did Walker and Addamo. Aidan Spellacy had the other goal for Robert Morris.

Finally, Niagara and Canisius skated to ties of 2-2 and 3-3 over this past weekend. Ludwig Stenlund and Justin Kendall had the goals for Niagara on Friday, but Canisius came back with a pair of special-teams goals, including a shorthanded tally from Dylan McLaughlin and a PPG from Felix Chamberland, to tie it. Stenlund added a goal in Saturday’s tie, with teammate Johnny Curran scoring a pair. Austin Alger, Kevin Obssuth and Mitchell Martan had the goals for Canisius.
